The JND (Juegos Deportivos Nationales) ended this Friday July 5 with once again a great harvest of medals for the young athletes of the canton.
Despite the somewhat difficult weather conditions, no less than 15 medals were won, including 4 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Rihana Mora won 2 gold medals (100m and 200m flat) with as always an incredible lead over her opponents, just like Shantell Massen who won gold in the 200m hurdles and obtained a bronze medal in the high jump. Moises Obando can be proud of his 2 medals (1 silver/decathlon, 1 bronze/4x100 relay) which ranks him as the best male athlete in the canton. Angely Cabezas returns with 3 medals (2 silver, 1 bronze) obtained in high jump, long jump and triple jump.
We can thank Roy Vargas, Michael Maassen and Lilly for their unfailing support for several years to these Oseños athletes, who bring great pride and a model for all young people in the canton.
