The « Jeu du Diable » is an indigenous tradition, of ancestral origin, which is developed in the communities of Boruca and Rey Curré, canton of Buenos Aires, Puntarenas; indigenous people of Costa Rica who preserve the customs and ancestral traditions, which originate from the pluricultural and multiethnic identity of the countries.
This tradition rappelle le drame historique de la conquête: la lutte des Borucas, personnifiés par des petits deiables, contre les Espagnols, symbolisés par la figure du taureau, soulignant la résistance des indigènes à la colonisation.
